Hip Hop‟s Damage Control offers a rich blend of Acid Jazz, Hip Hop, R&B, and Rap while taking Neo-Soul to a whole new level, one the L.A. music scene has never seen the likes of before. Hip Hop‟s Damage Control expresses a deep love for music and admits they were fed up with the mainstream Hip Hop scene and the constant negativity it promotes. They wanted to hear something that had depth and that gave a conscious outlook on life. Conscious listeners are beginning to feel that our desperate pleas for music we can resonate with have finally been heard.
Robert Delanor Baychester, a.k.a. „Class‟, (Lead Rapper and Producer) has stepped up & made an impact on vinyl with his unique sound offering a rich blend of Acid Jazz, Hip Hop, R&B, and Rap. Class, a Bronx NY native, discovered his musical calling early in life while watching free-style and rap battles at block parties in New York. He later went on to becoming a DJ and a self-proclaimed “free-styler” himself. After joining the Navy, he formed the group, Brothers of the Same Mind touring all throughout the Northwestern United States and British Columbia while opening for such acts as Run D.M.C., Ice Cube, DJ Quick, and Scarface.
The Source Magazine referred to his group as one of the best unsigned acts out in its „Unsigned Hype Department‟. Class finally decided to go solo which gave him the creative control he yearned for. Class expresses a deep love for music and admits he was fed up with the mainstream Hip Hop scene and the constant negativity it promotes. He wanted to hear something that moved him, that had depth and that gave a conscious outlook on life.
Since nobody else seemed to be willing to Bring It, he decided to just do it himself. With his second album, Hip Hops Damage Control: “The Soul Repair Kit”, Class has created a buzz in L.A.s underground music scene Chicago music management company, Infusion Music Group (IMG), has teamed up with Los Angeles‟ Hip Hop‟s Damage Control, currently in production for the release of their new music video (Directed by: Marquis Simmons of “We Gotta Camera Films”) filmed in downtown Chicago‟s beautiful Millennium Park for the hit single off the album,
“The New Vibe” featuring rapper Blak Job (Joshua James) & jazz artist TC Carney III. Delanor Baychester Productions & Infusion Music Group are currently working together to bring this positive message to the music industry and the world. “The Soul Repair Kit” is Hip Hop grown up.
